- How to use
Steps for dehorning sheep and cattle: -
① Secure the cow, especially the head.

② Use a wire saw to cut off the corner ring 3-5cm from the base of the corner. Fast speed and steady technique are required to achieve success in the first time.

③ Use potassium permanganate to compress or iron the capillaries with bleeding after cutting off the diagonal base to stop bleeding.

④ Apply 7% iodine to the basal corner without cavities, disinfect the wound, and wrap it with a bandage (it is best to use the same bandage on both corners, which is easy to bandage and will not fall off). Then fully apply pine distillate or fish oil on the bandage. Bring it with you to prevent water infection.

⑤ After dehorning, the cavity and wound in the base corner are larger. To prevent infection, some anti-infective drugs can be sprinkled into the cavity, and then the cavity can be filled with iodine cotton balls (do not fill it too tightly), and finally the outer layer of waterproof loose material can be filled. Tumor oil or fish stone absorbent cotton, the bandage method is the same as above.
